Following the presentation of blurry documents by the Governor Ademola Adeleke used for the 2018 polls, the Election Petition Tribunal hearing the case arising from the July 16 governorship election in Osun State was adjourn on Thursday.

Deputy Director of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Joan Arabs presented the eight-page documents included Certified True Copies of the testimonial obtained by Adeleke from Ede Muslim Grammar School, and West Africa Examination Council General Certificate of Education.

Last week, the panel ruled that the INEC chairman should bring Adeleke’s filings for 2018 poll on its next sitting.

Two out of the pages were not clear enough, the petitioners’ attorney Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, who appeared alongside Akin Olujinmi, SAN, informed the panel during the day’s sessions after reviewing the papers provided by INEC.

He said the section for scores obtained by the candidate on the GCE result was blank. He said also that the school’s address was not also clear.

However, Prof. Paul Ananaba, SAN, counsel for INEC, stated that the copies were legible and clear, pleading with the plaintiffs to agree to the papers’ admission because they had previously stated that they had CTC copies of the documents that they could produce.

He promised not to object to the documents if presented by the plantiffs.
