Officials of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission raided the offices of black market dealers of currency in Abuja on Tuesday, November 1 arresting many of them.
This happened at Sheraton Hotels located in the Wuse area of Abuja.
According to eye witness present, the suspects were whisked away in vehicles.
The naira depreciation has been a thing of concern and it stands at 880 per dollar as at 31st October 2022.
Wilson Uwujaren, the Spokesperson for the anti-graft agency, could not confirm the operation when contacted on phone by The Abuja Post.
He said, “I will check and get back to you,”
