The Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed the death of 14 passengers burnt to death along Gaya-Wudil road in Kano State after a ghastly motor accident involving a Toyota Hummer bus and a Hyundai jeep.
The Kano FRSC Sector Commander, Zubairu Mato, confirmed the number of deaths on Tuesday.
The Kano FRSC commander said his officials arrived the accident scene around 7.45pm
He stated that the bus with registration number, GML 102 TA collided with the jeep, at about 7.30pm on Sunday night.
According to him, thirteen passengers died while 6 others were injured. Furthermore, one of the passengers, a female, died on Monday morning at Aminu Kano Teaching hospital.
He however stated that overspeeding was the cause of the accident. He urged drivers to driver with care and avoid speeding while maintaining other road regulations.
